New Year’s Eve Dinner à la Zack
Zack hadn’t been feeling well throughout the whole past week—boo! He tested negative multiple times for Covid, but we figured better safe than sorry. So we went ahead and cancelled our dinner reservations- double boo. Then we tried to order sushi but all our favorite places were not doing any to-go orders.
Zack scrambled and ran to Whole Foods and brought us back NY strip, mashed potatoes, a cluster of crab legs each and some broccolini. It was fairly quick and easy and we had a lovely night in just the two of us to ring in the New Year. Zack knows the best way to keep me happy is to keep me full! It was possibly our first quiet New Years together but it was lovely!
Family Tradition: Every year my family does a seafood/sushi extravaganza which is what prompted the crab legs as our “something seafood”. My mom makes sushi rice and gets yummy fish and my dad makes a giant bowl of seafood pasta that’s absolutely delicious. Its always a bummer to not be in Tucson with my family for the holidays, but I am happy I had something seafood last night in honor of that tradition!
Wishing all a Happy 2022 filled with loved ones, food, & hopefully a
little more travel than we’ve all been doing the past 2 years!
