Otaku Ramen: Nashville, TN

Food Type- Ramen

O-Ta-Ku (noun)- Japanese word essentially meaning a person who has a hobby that could be considered obsessive. (According to Google!)

Their founder Sarah Gavigan lived in LA for a long time and when she moved back to Nashville missed all the ramen spots she had found out west. She set out to open a Nashville ramen spot. She’s also written a cookbook filled with her ramen-obsessed recipes!

Stop by and try Otaku Ramen and see if you can leave and not be ramen-obsessed too.

What We Ordered

Appetizers

Vegetable Gyoza- Pan fried dumpling with chili oil

Hot Chicken Buns- Boneless thigh, Otaku’s hot spice, kewpie mayo slaw, steamed bao bun, pickle (can get mild or hot)

Ramen

Tennessee Tonkotsu- pork bone broth, pork confit, mayu, woodear, scallions, ramen egg

*I added a LOT of chili oil... It’s normally a much more beigey colored broth but I have a spicy foods obsession.

They do have vegetarian options!
