Grilled Cheeserie: Nashville, TN
Food Type- Grilled Cheese Sandwich
A Nashville Staple that started out as a food truck! They make grilled cheese melts that are seasonal and give this childhood classic a gourmet twist. The company has a big focus on responsibly sourced ingredients and uses compostable packaging to try and minimize their environmental impact.
Nostalgic food & a conscious, what more could we ask for?
What I Ordered
I always do a Make Your Own Melt.
You pick your cheese, bread, meat (if you want!), and additional toppings.
I’m a creature of habit and typically get: pepper jack, on their rosemary garlic bread, with spiced pulled chicken or bacon (mood dependent!). The toppings I get are avocado, local tomatoes, & fresh basil.
There’s so many combos and ways to personalize this with all their options. If you’re not feeling like making your own, you can pick one of their specialty melts. A couple of their specialty melts are a Pimento Mac & Chee, a Quesabirria Melt, and a Buffalo South Melt.
Roasted Red Pepper Tomato Soup- with basil and parsley gremolata! Can’t get a grilled cheese without a hot tomato soup for dipping and slurping.
Tater Tots- These are the plain tater tots but they also do buffalo tots what are loaded with cheese, chicken, and buffalo sauce.
They also serve milkshakes & have a milkshake of the month so there’s always something new. Comfort foods to the max.
Locations
There are 3 locations around Nashville (Hillsboro Village, Franklin, & East Nashville) & a food truck that moves around!
I tend to go to the Hillsboro Village one so I can shop around and look at murals after lunch! They are all open 11a-9pm.
